Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra II Offers 8K Wired Polling And Hot-Swappable Power

Turtle Beach’s Stealth Ultra II is a new high-end wireless controller with an unusual spec-sheet split: it supports up to 8 kHz polling when wired on PC, while wireless polling tops out at 1 kHz. It is available for pre-order now ahead of a November 12 launch, with an MSRP of $199.99.

The Xbox-licensed controller also connects by Bluetooth to Android devices and smart TVs. Its Connected Command touchscreen handles settings adjustments, while four mappable back buttons let players reach extra commands without taking their thumbs off the sticks.

Turtle Beach has equipped the Stealth Ultra II with Anti-Drift TMR thumbsticks and GateShift technology, which offers three selectable analog stick gate profiles. Adjustable trigger stops, tactile microswitch buttons, and a Pro-Aim focus mode round out the controls. Those features give players several ways to tailor the feel, whether they want precise stick movement or shorter trigger travel.

Battery life is listed at up to 12 hours out of the box. Enabling Eco power modes can extend that to as much as 34 hours. The included Rapid Charge Dock and charge-through hard-shell case give players a way to keep the controller powered and stored between sessions.

The 8 kHz figure applies to wired PC use, so players looking for the fastest polling will need to use a cable. The controller remains wireless for other play, but its advertised wireless polling rate is 1 kHz. That distinction matters more to competitive PC players chasing high polling rates than to someone using it on an Xbox or Android device.

At $199.99, the Stealth Ultra II sits at the premium end of the controller market. Its touchscreen, TMR sticks, adjustable controls, and included charging dock provide a substantial feature set, but buyers should weigh those extras against how often they will use them. Pre-orders are open now through Turtle Beach and participating retailers.
